At Jonosheba Daycare, the safety and wellbeing of children in our care is our paramount concern. We adhere to all Ofsted safeguarding regulations and maintain rigorous standards to ensure every child is protected and nurtured.

Our Safeguarding Practices

Staff Vetting

All staff undergo enhanced DBS checks, reference checks, and thorough recruitment processes before employment.

Staff Training

Regular safeguarding training for all staff members, updated annually and in line with current legislation.

Safe Environment

Secure premises with controlled access, regular risk assessments, and maintained safety equipment.

Clear Procedures

Robust policies for accidents, emergencies, illness, and reporting concerns about child welfare.

Ofsted Safeguarding Requirements

As an Ofsted-registered provider, we comply with all statutory requirements including:

Designated Safeguarding Lead

We have a designated safeguarding lead (DSL) who oversees all safeguarding matters. The DSL is trained to:

  • Provide support and guidance to staff
  • Maintain safeguarding records
  • Liaise with external agencies
  • Ensure ongoing staff training
